Welcome to my collection of railway photographs. As you can see from the shots below, my interests vary from preserved steam to the most modern mainline traction.
The aim of this gallery is to provide a varied view of railways in Scotland & the north of England.
Up until Dec 2005, all of these shots were taken with a Minolta 404si on Fujichrome slide film. The lack of sharpness stems from the scanner that I used at the time. From Dec 2005 all the shots were taken with the new Minolta Dynax 5D. ##Update May 07## Due to an major problem with the image stabilizer on the Minolta 5D, this has now been written off under warranty and has been replaced with the Sony Alpha a100 + Sigma 17-70 lens.

A 50/50 weather forecast was enough to go ahead with a trip down to the the East Lancs Autumn Steam Gala. Despite a poor start to the day weather wise, a nice afternoon and good company made the trip worthwhile.
